๐ Publisher Podcast Awards 2023: 13 is lucky for some!
Laudable joins TikTok ๐คณ Plus a Scran exclusive ๐ฅ
Laudable Podcasts will be award-winners once again at the end of this month.
Thatโs not misplaced arrogance, or talking down our incredible competitors (I prefer colleagues, to be honest; or even comrades). Whilst yes, we do have faith in our amazing podcasts, the producers at Laudable HQ are not staggeringly boastful or pompous.
Instead, weโre logical. As well as being fun, witty, and humble to the point of bashful.
It is a simple case of mathematics, really. In the โBest Local and Community Podcastโ category at the Publisher Podcast Awards 2023, every podcast shortlisted has been produced by a member of our team. Well, supergroup.
We ought to install a Bat Signal at Laudable HQ. Mainly for takeaway deliveries, really.
Commonwealth Stories. Testimony: The Body on Seaham Beach. Brummie Mummies. The Northern Agenda.
All Laudable podcasts competing for the same prize. It has already been decided between producers Dan, Kelly, and Matt that the two who are going to miss out are going to pull exaggerated disgusted faces, and storm off in a theatrical huff.
But thatโs not all. Nay, nay, thrice nay. Podcasts flying the Laudable banner are represented a phenomenal THIRTEEN times in the Publisher Podcast Awards shortlist.
They include:
Brummie Mummies (Best Family & Lifestyle Podcast, Best Local & Community Podcast)
The Reset Room (Best Family & Lifestyle Podcast, Best Health & Wellbeing Podcast)
Scran (Best Food & Drink Podcast)
Testimony: The Body on Seaham Beach (Best Investigative Podcast, Best Local & Community Podcast)
Commonwealth Stories (Best Limited Series, Best Local & Community Podcast)
The Northern Agenda (Best Local & Community Podcast, Best Political Podcast)
Uncovered (Best News Podcast)
The Steamie (Best Political Podcast)
An endorsement of the incredible work put in by our journalists, hosts, producers, and editors across the Laudable project, the podcast collaboration between Reach and National World.
Laudable is now on TikTok!
Yes, we have finally joined TikTok, spreading the podcasting word to GenZ and other TikTokers.
With a back catalogue as rich as ours, we thought it was about time that we shared our previous work to a new audience.
Over the next few weeks, more and more videos from our podcasts, including The North in Numbers, Scran, and more, will start to appear on our socials.
Whilst we want to scream and shout about our new work, it is important to note that many of our podcasts are timeless.
Whether itโs exploring the food and drink scene in Scotland, delving into the numbers about the North, or investigating the most intriguing cases in our true crime podcast, we will revisit some of our top episodes - and the incredible and interesting guests who appeared on them.
